10 questions to start the year beautifully!

With a new year comes a new energy, the opportunity to take stock of the past year and put things in perspective for the year to come, to review our goals, to remove what does not make our heart sing, to keep only what is important, to get rid of interference.

2

And what if in 2017 our watchword was “SIMPLIFY”, purging our lives of what we no longer want and keeping only what serves us?

Here are a few questions to help you on this path:

  1. What are the beautiful things that 2016 brought you?
  2. What do you want to CELEBRATE? What were your disappointments and difficulties, and how did they help you grow?
  3. Draw a traffic light on a white page.  – Next to the GREEN circle, write down: What do I want to do MORE? (What you have already done and want to continue pursuing in 2017?) – Next to the ORANGE circle, write: What do I want to learn to regulate? (What do I want to be vigilant about?) – Next to the RED circle, write: What do I want to stop because it does not serve me (or serves me badly)?
  4. What are the roles you play in your life? Give yourself brilliant titles for each one of these roles. Look at the different areas of your life: family, work, health, love, finances, spirituality, personal development, recreation. For each of these areas, give yourself several titles. For example, “the woman of his dreams” instead of the wife, or “genius of multi-tasking and tenderness” instead of mom, or “inspirational and inspiring messenger” instead of speaker, “brilliant CEO, stunning expert, logistics and transport genius, starred chef, cheerleader, adventurer, benevolent ambassador”… It’s up to you to play now!
  5. What are your goals for each of these roles? Write only goals that make your heart sing. Make sure they are specific and measurable and that when you read them you feel an impetus to move forward.
  6. What is THE THING that must happen in 2017? Be careful to differentiate between things that will happen no matter what and the things for which you have to free yourself of blocks but that it’s time to do this year. You are ripe, you are ready!
  7. UNDERSTANDING: In 2017, what do you want to unlearn? Identify limiting beliefs that create obstacles in your path. Unlearn these things that do not serve you and slow down, even prevent, your progress and fulfillment!
  8. RECOGNIZING: You will always have many unknowns and doubts in your life and this can disrupt you, slow you down, confuse you… but at any time you can reconnect with your truth. Among all your confusion, what do you know? What is clear? Remember your “why”. Why do you feel called to move in that direction? What makes you vibrate?
  9. DO: What are you going to do in 2017 starting next week? Once you have reconnected with your truth, then it is time to dare to act in accordance with this new reality. Do not postpone until later. Start now (even an inch a day) and you will see that you will already have made strides by the end of January
  10. What support do you need to achieve your goals? Education, resources, coaching, family, friends…? Feel free to use the full range of support options available to you!

I hope these questions will help you to move forward brilliantly, your heart swollen with audacity, to start the year beautifully! If this article has helped you, do not hesitate to share it with your loved ones and your friends.

How to take action and go change your life? Interview by David Laroche

How to take action (2)

Some time ago I was interviewed by David Laroche who is France’s youngest motivational speaker. David was in the US on a road trip to interview experts like Seth Godin, Mark Victor Hansen, and Brian Tracy to name a few. And he invited me to meet with him in Beverly Hills.

The main focus of our talk was “How to take action and go change your life?”

I was delighted to share with him my own experience and the biggest lessons I had to learn on my journey to transform my own life from ordinary to {extra} ordinary.

The topics addressed in this video are:

  • Everything is created twice, first as an idea and then as an action.
  • The only way to create perfection is through imperfect actions.
  • There is no luck in this game. In order to create a good life for myself, I had to keep taking action even in the face of financial and personal struggles.
  • Why nurturing our inspiration is a priority (not a frivolity).

I hope this video inspires you and I would be honored to read your comments on this page!

4 Golden Rules to Manage Time Without Complaining !

snooze

It’s easy to get side-tracked with all the things we need to do during the day!  Without proper preparation and focus we can waste precious time and this may lead to feeling frustrated and we end up  complaining !

Have you ever started off  your day with great intentions and energy to conquer all  to  complete  your  TO DO list, only to find yourself a few hours later still handling your emails or getting lost in the amount of info popping left and right  from your computer screen and losing track of the task at hand?

You’re not alone! It’s so easy to get overwhelmed and distracted.  How can you manage your time more effectively and actually get things done everyday to avoid  complaining?   I’d like to share with you my 4 Golden Rules that I use and that help me be more productive and keep on task.

GOLDEN RULE #1 – Get up early – The first thing that allows me to take action towards my goal and ambition is to have the “discipline” to get up early to start my day before everyone else at home, 5 days out of 7,  I get up before the house wakes up with a “ fresh mind” and a cup of coffee. It’s not always easy to stick to, but in the end I know I will have more satisfaction to advance on my projects versus spending an additional 2 hours sleeping-in! ( I can always take a nap after lunch)

GOLDEN RULE #2  – Exercise –  Taking care of my body allows me to feel “empowered’ and “ connected: in all areas of my life.  There’s no excuses to procrastinate and postpone to the next day . We can ALWAYS find at least 10 minutes in a day to exercise and feel great in the process!

GOLDEN RULE  #3 – Remain clear on what you want to accomplice –  I can’t accomplish anything big when my head is filled with all these  “TO DO” things.  It feels as if everything is spinning in every corner and I live anxiously fearing to forget something. When I start my day,  I need to know exactly what needs to be done urgently and also be able to devote some time to  a project that matters to me. If I want to make progress, not waste time  and avoid  feeling frustrated and complain,  I know that I must give myself every opportunity to accomplish the task I need and to do this I use the marvelous ( and free) tool called KANBAN

GOLDEN RULE #4- Stay focused to work more effectively and less – There’s nothing worse  for me than to start  my day with good intention only to allow  my computer, emails, and demands from others invade me. Time just flies and I end up wasting precious time  feeling more disappointed and confused than before I started and this is great feeding ground for complaining!   Once I am clear on the tasks that I need to accomplish in my schedule, I must stay focused on the task  ( no answering phone calls, making a cup of coffee,  checking Facebook etc… )  For the last few years now, I  have relied on the Pomodoro Technique  to keep me on track and it works like a charm.

Let me know how this works out for you! How do you manage your time without complaining and tell me how your 21 Day Quit Complaining Challenge is going ?

Love & Respect,

Christine Lewicki
